I have a mate. He’s a talented photographer. My colleague goes by the name of Jack Rabbit. Recently, when admiring some of his work, I asked him to give me a favourite shoot that told me and the world something about his personality.
The following pictures are what he gave me. So many narratives to imagine. So many stories to tell oneself in the privacy of one’s own head. So many wonderful gifts from artists and their muses.
That is how it is, I think. Whatever the narrative, flavour or lament meant by the artist, once released into the shared consciousness of the world, we are all free to make up our own stories about the art we’re given to consume.
Jack Rabbit does this neat little thing that other famous artists do. Namely, he sometimes gives himself a little cameo in some of his creations. So that’s Hitchcock, Tarantino, and now Jack Rabbit… To locate my mate, go to Twitter
And enjoy his work – I do.
