Here in little old Nuneaton we have a new independent retailer to celebrate.
You can find Angels Cakery at 296 Queens Road. As I type, Mrs mn50images is tucking into a delicious peanut butter and jam cookie sandwich, and I am enjoying a wickedly scrumptious cherry bakewell blondie.
Proprietor Sarah Beal has been running a home baking business for some time. Now, she has delighted all determined to push-back against high street deconstructionist policies by bringing her wares to cake fans everywhere. I apologise to Sarah for holding up keen customers at the launch this morning – one impatient partner shown above – ‘rarely should cakes wait on slow photographers!’ 😊
Local resident Sarah is a welcome addition to retailing in Nuneaton. I, for one, can’t wait to be served at Angels Cakery again.
Maggie and I urge all who love artisan baking, supporting local business, and cakery to die for to visit Angels Cakery as often as possible.
